It is better to automatically form the list of authors' names for the papers in the database. Different styles of names can be imported for the same author. With the list of authors' names, multiple formats of the name of the same author can be merged into one format. Such as, in Bibdesk, a list of authors' names can be formed, and multiple formats of the name of the same author can be unified into a single format.
