To my view, it would be nice (and should not be too
complicated to realize) to have support for ISBN-Links
analogous to DOI's
If, for instance, a book has the
ISBN 978-0471489986
it can be looked up e.g. by the following URL
http://www.bookbutler.de/vergleich/wps/9783866801929
So, if a book (or another type) has an ISBN there
should be a symbol in the DOI/URL-column and clicking
on it should open a browser window with the above URL.
Of course, there should be also the possiblity to customize the ISBN search engine (bookbutler, of course,
is not the only possibility).
Possibility of JabRef Affiliate links!
+1 for JabRef Affiliate links.
Will these affiliates contribute money to JabRef? (Affiliate marketing)
In a broader sense: different users may want to have links to different websites based on an identifier (DOI, ISBN, PubMedId, arXivID, ProdInraID, etc.). Hence, it would be nice if a custom field could be parametrized to open an URL based on a given pattern.

Yes. And the percentage is not that low on amazon as far as I know.
