Hey,

have no clue of coding so my only contribution is a feature request.

Hoped to find better search engine implementation.
Barely can find my papers of need with yours.

Nice would be a search engine for DOIs.
Like: http://dx.doi.org/

And/or one input field for searches with coupled filters that sends the request to the different search engines.
Of course that filter can handle pubmed IDs, author/title inputs as well as DOIs and keyword searches, maybe its an easy way to put some check boxes around the search fields to have that filter be minimized with no need to differentiate between these many input types. So the user can adjust the filter to ones needs and have an easy way to search for stuff with no need to open a browser window.

Some times i get erros "no import filter found"
most of the time for bibtex files or plain text. maybe there could show up a dialog where one can assign found data in the file to fields like author/title. and not just an erros message with no proceeding.

Nice work though :)

Sincerly

Jannick L.

Regarding the DOI, we support a search for a DOI: See http://jabref.sourceforge.net/help/DOItoBibTeXHelp.php

Regarding the input field, we have to understand the difference to the current Web search offered by JabRef.
