Hi,
in my opinion a killer improvement would be to integrate JabRef with one of the freely available software for producing mind maps (those graphs that help organize concepts in a hiararchical way). One good candidate could be freemind as it is also written in java.
There could be two uses of this:
1) automatically create a graph of the references in the database, by matching similarities. This probably requires more intensive implementation effort.
2) let the user create their own mind maps where the leaves are/can be references. This should be relatively easy to implements and very useful, in my opinion.
The framework I have in mind is to be able to create a map in freemind and, among the possible kind of nodes, get through JabRef the possibility to select one of my references (right now I have to retype the title of the article, and in case the link to the pdf file).
Thank you,
Giampiero

Hi,
I was thinking something similar, but also useful for me would be:
To have a map of the actual references within a document that are also in your library, so you could see visually which papers your current entry referenced, and even perhaps which ones these then referenced at the second level.
Hope I made it clear!
Craig
I think, DocEar (http://www.docear.org/) is an intermediate solution?
