Hi there,
I just wanted to request the feature of a clickable pmid image-column pointing to 'http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?db=pubmed&orig_db=pubmed&term=PMID[uid]&cmd=search'
(with the upper case PMID replaced by the actual value) when I saw that it has already been requested.
I want to support this feature request with the following arguments:
* when reviewing a topic one should not only review the articles returned by one's query (which I actually execute via JabRef) but also look at the related articles PubMed shows.
* in recent versions of JabRef one can customize (in preferences->Entry table->Special table columns) whether PDF/PS and URL/DOI columns shall be shown. If the requested feature was custimizable in the same way (perhaps off by default) it wouldn't disturb users that don't need it.
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:

I see the DOI is clickable when there is no URL.
A configurable clickable PubMed ID would also be handy though (related articles).

This would be a really useful optional column (and/or keyboard shortcut). I think that links could alternatively point to:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/PMID
e.g. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/7890857
