To begin JabRef is excelent, and is making my PhD so
much easier.
The most useful feature I use is the ability to auto
download, save and rename a pdf with the bibtexkey,
which makes data recovery and backup simple.
The addition I would request is an addon to this
ability where JabRef could create / read a simple text
file in the format [bibtexkey].notes.txt from the same
directory as the stored PDF. Then display the contents
for editing in another tab, probably to the right of
BibTex Source.
I know I could feisably introduce this as another key
in to the bibtex file itself, but I would rarther keep
it to a more reasonable size, and the co-text file
format would allow easy external access / editing.
I also acknowledge that this is slightly out of the
field of bibtext database management, but as far as I
have found, there isn't another tool that can do this,
why not try it.
thanks
