Dear All I couldnt get ma600 dongle working above 9600 baud rate. I tried the suggestion by Martin of editing the ma600-sir.c and also posted the irdadump data on this forum, of which no replies/suggestion came :-( My motherboard has onboard IrDA support, I have taken out the transreceiver component from the USB dongle. The component is tiny black thing with two round bumps and 8 connections. Only thing written on it is 6102F488. I request help from anyone who has successfully made use of that component and connected to the motherboard irda port. I have gone through some websites (http://www.infraredport.com/ir-modul_en.HTML). I am not sure that my component is same as on that website as when i connected it the component heated up slightly. May be I am doing something wrong there. I bought IrDA dongle as my Nokia DKU-5 cable doesnt work on linux, and now this too doesnt work as intended, thats why trying to work the way out. Can't use Linux full time till this is sorted out only way for me to connect to internet is through my mobile phone. Awaiting suggestions Jigish |
