[irda-users] SigmaTel STIr4200 on 2.4.22 , possible ?

Hi,

I'm looking to get my usb FIR adapter to work using linux , is there a 
way to do that using 2.4.22 ? I'd rather not use an unstable kernel if I 
don't have to
I read that the STIr4200 driver needed 2.5.x or better to run , is there 
maybe an old version of the driver that would work on 2.4.x ? I don't 
need to do anything else than record/send ir remote signal to my 
satellite receiver , (the whole box is for use with MythTV and IR 
control is the last piece of the puzzle I need !)
