[irda-users] Problems again with IRDA/GSM

Hi,

recently I managed to get a Nokia 6210 working with a Compaq Armada E500.
I did this by using RedHat 8.0 and kernel 2.4.19.

However, now I cannot make this setup work again, what I see is the irda0 
device to have 00:00:00:00 hw address, instead of a 'normal MAC'.

this is the sequence of loading the modules:

modprobe ircomm
modprobe ircomm-tty
modprobe smc-ircc
irattach irda0 -s

This was working until now, while I cannot say I changed anything. My dual 
boot Windows XP is working with it flawlessly.

The thing I want to make work at the end is a Nokia 6150 with the Armada.
As said, this morning it worked OK with the 6210, but when using the 6510, I 
got NETDEV WATCHDOG irda0 timeouts, when actually trying to dialup using PPP.
After that, I also see irdadump stopping 'acting normal'.
Anyways, now I don't have a working combination at all, so please if anyone 
can give me some help, i'd appreciate it.
