Honestly I use the built in kernel driver all the time and I am not 
convinced it is broken. I've never had any issue with it from 2.6.32 to 
3.0 kernel in my stable and test boxes. Yes I am using pcmcia wifi cards.

Talking about broken drivers is one thing, providing logs to prove it is 
quite another. Any kernel drivers that are called upon to be loaded and 
have any problems will tell on themselves in the logs.
