Hello Gilles, I am using a cable modem, it is connect on eth1 on my ipcop. it gets the ip by dhcp from my isp. I did two builds yesterday. One on a debian with Patrick Bernauds scripts and another one with a debian fully installed so that it builds with the debian fixes in make.sh. The building process and installation went on bouth builds whitout problems. But a connection to the internet was not possible with any of the builds. So the only thing that got it working for me again, was to undo the change in rc.red. This I have done by try and error, of course not knowing what else I will break with it.
