There seems to be at least 3 different users of IPCop, which I shall call... user, expert and commercial. User: Probably a windows user that wants a fit and forget product, maybe a new 'network' user. Expert: Someone with more experience and probably know what they are doing, want's learn or want's something a bit out of the ordinary. Commercial: Same as expert, but want's a few other options, like outbound port blocking, stats to show PHB's etc. Allowing a 'user' to have to specify a swap size would only confuse them. If this is done I would go for a help notice a nd default value, with some test to say, if you are not sure what you want then pick the default. On a side note, it might be worth thinking of where IPcop should be and what it wants to be, I think at the moment IPCop is somewhere between User and Expert. IPCop can do Commercial but not via the web interface, it takes unix level knowledge and most Commercial wants are supported via addonz. Not that this bad... I also think that Commercial can't be supported on the minimum spec IPCop firewall. (But I will prpbably be proved wrong :-) Also, Commercial would probably go on a fairly new machine since Commercial users would not want to spend timae and money on obsolete kit, they are most likely to have PIII machine's around to proess into service.
