Add version.h file instead. This makes it simple to change the version without to change/ upload new configure.in configure aso. Make all scripts using the version from the version.h file. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Rodrigo Barbosa (morcego) Date: 2002-04-29 13:06 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=10857 Just remembered that the makefile needed the version info. And the makefile does not handle a C header file nicely. Maybe this is not such a good idea after all. Anyone cares to comment ? I think we should leave the version information on configure.in, and be done with it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Jon Foster (jongfoster) Date: 2002-04-02 21:29 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=199289 Hi, > The question is, do you want it for 3.0, or after 3.0 ? After 3.0. This change just tidys things up. IMHO we shouldn't change anything now unless it is low risk AND gives a significant advantage for our users. Kind regards, Jon. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Rodrigo Barbosa (morcego) Date: 2002-04-01 15:12 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=10857 Actualy, it's pretty simple to do (althogh it requires some handy work on some places). The question is, do you want it for 3.0, or after 3.0 ? I can do it without great pains. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Andreas Oesterhelt (oes) Date: 2002-03-30 14:02 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=78811 How should that be cleanly done? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=400339&aid=503879&group_id=11118 |
