Category: None Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: 503 error,, please help Initial Comment: Hello, I am new to using privoxy. I am a newbie and do not understand this program. I am using Privoxy 3.0.3 with Win XP home, Firefox with Adblock & Adblock Filter.G Updater. I occasionally get the following error message: 503 Connect failed Your request for http://www.worldnetdaily.com/ could not be fulfilled, because the connection to www.worldnetdaily.com (70.84.155.164) could not be established. This is often a temporary failure, so you might just try again. I disabled privoxy and my connection would not load any page. I am now getting this message frequently. Do you know what I may be doing wrong? Do you have any suggestions? Thank you in advanced, new...@ya... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Fabian Keil (fabiankeil) Date: 2006-05-30 12:17 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=875547 What do you mean by "I disabled privoxy"? Did you reset Firefox to use a direct connection or did you use Privoxy's "Toggle Privoxy on or off" setting? The latter will only disable filtering. Anyway, you are most likely seeing a cached error message: The real problem is gone, but as Privoxy's error message is more recent than the original page you want to visit, Firefox shows Privoxy's error message again. To temporary circumvent the browser's cache you can reload the document with ctrl+F5. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=211118&aid=1497137&group_id=11118 |
