Category: blocking Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: remove 'go there anyway' link of Privoxy Initial Comment: hi , I managed to install squid and privoxy and they work all right. But i have problem of removeing link of'go there anywhere'. I want to block ppl from access porn site but if they click on that link , they can still access it which viod the whole purpose of blocking. I try to change the parameter 'pattern' on set-image-block but still doesn't change anything. Can anyone give me a hand on this? chris ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Edward Carrel (azanar) Date: 2006-03-27 14:43 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=635878 Agreed. Privoxy is not meant as a convience filter, not a policy filter. It is meant to filter out ads from a website much the same way a tool like SpamAssassin filters out your e-mail. It uses some sort of deterministic algorithm (except for the baysian filtering part; might be an interesting idea for privoxy too?) to determine it believes is or is not an ad. It doesn't work perfectly, so having a safety net is nice. In it's case, your mail is dropped into a different box. As a parallel, privoxy provides you with the option of visiting the site anyway. If you want to block porn sites outright, you will want something more akin to a firewall. Something that blocks things, and can not be disabled by a quick visit to the proxy settings. I'm not immediately aware of tool like that (although they certainly exist), but someone else here might be able to assist. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Fabian Keil (fabiankeil) Date: 2006-03-19 11:48 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=875547 Use squid for porn blocking and let privoxy block the ads. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=211118&aid=1451977&group_id=11118 |
