Category: configuration Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Submitted By: Tom Nowakowski (chambers1) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Checkboard and how to get rid of it? Initial Comment: Hi everyone, I've been reading up on the privoxy website all morning long and I don't think I'm quite getting this yet. Please keep in mind that I come from the land of admuncher on Windows so it's taking me a little while to get used to this. First off, I am running Suse 9.3 with privoxy 3.0.3. I understand how to make privoxy block ads based on image location, however I always get that little checkboard on blocked images, which sometime is more annoying than the actual ad..hehehe I know you can change this so it doesn't show anything in place of blacked ads but I don't know where, can someone help please? Also, this also pertains to ads with this "Privoxy blocked http://ads.osdn.com/?ad_id=6508&alloc_id=14173&site_id=2&request_id=3962875. See why or go there anyway." How do I just tell Privoxy to not even display any text and just get rid of the whole thing altogether...with no checkerboard please :P By other question is how can I set up a rule so it will block an ad that is linked to something? Let's say any image that when clicked goes to *affil=* I want blocked. I'm having some problems with that. Thanks again for all the help!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: stanz (stanzwith) Date: 2005-05-30 04:58 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1237375 hey dude~...i'm a micro-dummy myself= exploring the OS world. i think this will help- not implying i know anything...but i'm trying too. the other thing on clicking an image~ i dono~ don't click 'em? i'ld like a pro's input also.... *smiles* # user.action is generally the best place to define exceptions and # additions to the default policies of default.action. Some actions are # safe to have their default policies set here though. So let's set a # default policy to have a 'blank' image as opposed to the checkerboard # pattern for ALL sites. '/' of course matches all URLs. # patterns: # { +set-image-blocker{blank} } # / *remove " # " for effect* ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=211118&aid=1183247&group_id=11118 |
