Hi Matt, A few things to try: - browse to p.p and use the link there to disable Privoxy and see if the issue goes away (doing this still causes browsing to pass through Privoxy but it makes no attempt to perform any filtering). - once you've performed the first test, reconfigure Firefox to not point to Privoxy and see if the issue goes away (i.e. do you still get occasional issues loading web pages even if the error message changes) - Please enable logging in Privoxy as per the manual and post a log, highlighting a section where the issue occurs. Cheers, Ian On 15-02-09 9:17 AM, mattia wrote: > Hi, I'm running privoxy on Ubuntu and use it as proxy between > firefox and the web. > Since about a month I've been experienced this issue: a good percentage > of times I try to load a website (I'd say around 25%) the website is > not laoded but instead firefox shows me the "Unable to find proxy > server" error. > When I refresh the page 99% of times I get to website just fine. > I wonder why this started happening only lately; what could it be > caused by; what could I do to avoid it happening. > > Any suggestion would be much appreciated. > > Thanks! > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Dive into the World of Parallel Programming.
