Category: other Group: 3.0.15 >Status: Pending Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Socks Problem: " Stopping to watch the client socket." Initial Comment: I am using a ssh tunnel (ssh -D) Socks5 proxy, and I set Privoxy to forward all requests to this socks5 tunnel so Privoxy is runned as a Socks5 2 Http converter. When I use OffiSync ( a Microsoft Office plugin which sync Microsoft Office with Google Docs and allow Open documents of Google Docs in Local MS Office) with Privoxy, I have encounted problems. When I set OffiSync to use http proxy 127.0.0.1:8118, I can't open docs ( which are stored in Google Docs ) with OffiSync, However, I am able to save local docs to Google Docs. The Privoxy log shows that it is may be because of the " Stopping to watch the client socket." failture when I try to open a Google document, logs ----------------------------------------------- Aug 30 12:35:49.958 00001058 Connect: Listening for new connections ... There's already another request waiting. ------------------------------------------------- How does "onnect: Stopping to watch the client socket. There's already another request waiting." means and whether I can do to avoid it? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Fabian Keil (fabiankeil) Date: 2010-08-30 19:22 Message: The "Stopping to watch the client socket ..." messages just mean that there's another request waiting that Privoxy will not process until it's done with the current one received on the same socket. From a performance point of view that's not ideal, but it shouldn't cause actual problems like the one you describe either. Disabling pipelining (not keep-alive) in the client should prevent the messages. Please attach a more complete log with the debug options described at: http://www.privoxy.org/user-manual/contact.html#CONTACT-BUGS You could also try to temporarily set Privoxy's keep-alive-timeout option to 0 to see if that influences the problem somehow. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=211118&aid=3055760&group_id=11118 |
