Category: configuration Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Fabian Keil (fabiankeil) Summary: How to disable templete generated error pages? Initial Comment: Hi, I kept looking through the config file and searching the Web for: how to disable the error pages generated by Privoxy? I would like to see the 500, 404 etc error messages as they are returned by a webserver or my browser rather than Privoxy. Thank you. Win Vista x86, latest build of Privoxy. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2009-06-21 13:27 Message: Indeed an option to "hand the error over" to the browser/client would be nice. Privoxy (should) only intervene if an action such as adding/crunching headers and filtering would be performed on that content and a connection has been successfully established. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2009-06-21 09:04 Message: For example, if I type in superstat.com [cybersquatters - work your fingers, I know you want to!] in a browser, Privoxy generates an error : "404 This is Privoxy 3.0.12 on Xoxo (127.0.0.1), port 8118, enabled No such Domain Your request for http://superstat.com/ could not be fulfilled, because the domain name superstat.com could not be resolved. This is often a temporary failure, so you might just try again. More Privoxy: •Privoxy main page ..." It's those messages I want to disable. I want Privoxy just to time out. Regards ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Fabian Keil (fabiankeil) Date: 2009-06-12 10:47 Message: Privoxy doesn't intercept error messages from the server or browser. What makes you think it does? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=211118&aid=2805364&group_id=11118 |
