Thanks for helping though. Hopefully someone will start working on an osx package they can share so we in the mac community can use this amazing tool. But it occurs to me now, I don't have any problems with the 3.0.6 version, it works great. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: tearatarrows (tearatarrows) Date: 2008-01-29 22:20 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1956052 Originator: YES Hey thanks a lot Steven. I'm going to give this a shot. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Steven (smkolins) Date: 2008-01-29 21:59 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1439894 Originator: NO First register with Apple's Developer and download or install the XCode packages. Then follow the cvs information or download the source code on sourceforge. There will be a osxsetup folder. I then amend the build-ub script so it looks as follows # !/bin/sh # # build-ub # builder for MacOSX Universal Binaries # # sh build -isysroot /Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.4u.sdk -arch i386 -arch ppc sh build -arch i386 cp ../current/privoxy /tmp/privoxy cd ../osxsetup sh build -arch ppc lipo -create ../current/privoxy /tmp/privoxy -output ../current/privoxy Then there is a script - makepackage - which, well, makes the package.... very nifty. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: tearatarrows (tearatarrows) Date: 2008-01-29 21:32 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1956052 Originator: YES Ok, thannks for letting me know Fabian. Steven - would you mind sharing with me how you "rolled your own" ? +thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Fabian Keil (fabiankeil) Date: 2008-01-29 21:17 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=875547 Originator: NO As far as I know, nobody is working on OSX packages. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Steven (smkolins) Date: 2008-01-22 05:23 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1439894 Originator: NO I have a "roll my own" 3.0.8. I tried to make it a UB and it seems ok but I'm not a programmer. As for "any help here" you need to be more precise - what did you do? After installing you need to alter the proxy settings. More than once to get it started I've had to run the "StartPrivoxy.command" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2008-01-22 05:01 Message: Logged In: NO any help here, just got this 3.0.6 for Firefox/OSX tiger. Won't load a single page. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=211118&aid=1876629&group_id=11118 |
