Summary: can't log into yahoo mail

Initial Comment:
When I try to log into Yahoo Mail, I get the following error:

Server not found

Firefox can't find the server at mail.yahoo.com&.pd=ym_ver=0&c=&login=davidiwharper&passwd=[snipped]&.persistent=&.hash=1&.md5=1.

The log file shows:

Sep 26 10:51:09 Privoxy(00000a00) Request: us.rd.yahoo.com/reg/login1/lisu/login/uk/ym/*http://edit.europe.yahoo.com/config/login?.tries=1&.src=ym&.md5=&.hash=&.js=1&.last=&promo=&.intl=uk&.bypass=&.partner=&.u=5fuk98d3fjb7o&.v=0&.challenge=zJWcN5pdMHpgyzak3U8ZnL7MEbJU&.yplus=&.emailCode=&pkg=&stepid=&.ev=&hasMsgr=0&.chkP=Y&.done=http://mail.yahoo.com&.pd=ym_ver=0&c=&login=davidiwharper&passwd=[snipped]&.persistent=&.hash=1&.md5=1 crunch!

I get the error in Linux (PCLinuxOS 2007) and Windows XP, both with Privoxy 3.0.6.

This previously worked in a much older version that I was using in PCLinuxOS 0.9.3a.

I plan to commit the fix this weekend.

Generously enabling fast-redirects for yahoo
has already caused lots of other problems in the
past and given that we only release now an then
we can't keep up with the exceptions.

Thanks for the workaround -- commenting out the lines noted fixed the
problem. I did not have to add a fast-redirects setting in.

Will this be fixed permanently in the next version? I use Privoxy with a
live CD and it would be a pain to have to do that each time I boot up.

Thanks for the report.

Please try removing the line:
.*rd.yahoo.com/
in your default.action.

Depending on your standard settings you might have to add:

{-fast-redirects}
.*rd.yahoo.com/

at the end of the same file.
