Category: windows-specific Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Default trust file not found due to missing ".txt" extension Initial Comment: Running Privoxy on Windows XP-SP2, version 3.0.3. Problem is browser independant. If the trustfile is used with the default filename of "trust.txt" an error message is displayed when Privoxy is loaded: --------------------------- Privoxy Error --------------------------- Feb 27 23:57:16 Privoxy(03508) Fatal error: can't load trustfile '.\trust': (error number 2) --------------------------- OK --------------------------- Renaming the trustfile to "trust" (no extension) seems to fix this issue and the whitelist works flawlessly. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Adam Piggott (proactivesvcs) Date: 2007-03-19 21:07 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1611181 Originator: NO Confirmed. The current win32 installer creates "trust.txt" but the config.txt file has: #trustfile trust ...rather than: #trustfile trust.txt The current GNUmakefile.in, line 288 onwards, seems to show that this is already being considered. As I'm not experienced in this syntax I can't comment if it's working as expected. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2006-02-28 00:29 Message: Logged In: NO I have just discovered that this is an error in the main config file. Around line 340 where the trustfile is enabled, it is only declared as "trustfile trust" whereas it needs to have the .txt extension in Windows and be "trustfile trust.txt". ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=111118&aid=1440012&group_id=11118 |
