you can always download the shared libs from hudson
http://hudson.hyperic.com/view/sigar/job/sigar-master-amd64-linux-2.6/

I wonder why it is looking for a file called liblibsigar-amd64-linux.so, the name of the library should be libsigar-amd64-linux.so.

Did you build SIGAR yourself ?
