Hi, I have run those commands but it asked for a location which i left blank= . I could not find a log file - only 2 log files in the directory - 1 = (config.log) from 2007-02-27 15:59 and the other (install.log) from = 2007-02-27 16:08. I ran the command at about 21:25 but no files appear = with that timestamp. Both previously mentioned files attached anyway and= = output from commands pasted below: Pad1:/home/maybi7/Downloads/2007/02/hplip-1.7.1# /etc/init.d/hplip resta= rt Stopping hpiod: [ OK ] Stopping hpssd: [ OK ] Starting hpiod: [ OK ] Starting hpssd: [ OK ] Pad1:/home/maybi7/Downloads/2007/02/hplip-1.7.1# /etc/init.d/cupsys rest= art Restarting Common Unix Printing System: cupsd.
