Cool!  Sourceforge has been having CVS problems so they're slow to
sync the public repository, but once I can pull the new code, I'll
try to update my keypad code.  It should be a piece of cake now.

Will your mechanism will work for a key matrix with multiple
keys down, without resulting in infinite looping/recursion?  A
simple test case would be to put two switches between the same two
pins, and close both of them.

Oooh, you might be able to model relays or CMOS bilateral switches.
