About a month ago, I purchased one of the RadioShack Flatfoto cameras made by SMaL. Before doing so, I noted that the GPhoto web page claimed some support for the camera, although marked experimental. However, it turns out that my camera is different than the model supported. Mine has product code 0x0015 while the supported model is 0x0004. I could have returned the camera but chose instead to do some analysis to see if I could make it work under Linux. Changing the libgphoto code to recognize my model number did not work. I've now obtained some USB logs from the SMaL Windows program and want to use them to modify the existing GPhoto2 driver or create a new one. The data I have obtained is available at http://compata.com/flatfoto/. I'd appreciate any thoughts or suggestions persons with more experience in this area might be able to offer after looking at the data.
