Westin (swestin) Date: 2004-12-13 12:16 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=682763 Argh. Looks like I got the arguments backwards AGAIN. Try gphoto2 --debug --usbid 0x04A9:0x3070=0x04A9:0x3048 --get-file 25 to pretend it's a G1. Then gphoto2 --debug --usbid 0x04A9:0x3070=0x04A9:0x3055 --get-file 25 to pretend it's a G2. Finally, gphoto2 --debug --usbid 0x04A9:0x3070=0x04A9:0x306E --get-file 25 to pretend it's a G3. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Brian Bealer (bsb23) Date: 2004-12-09 10:34 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=902893 uploaded 3 more debug output files. Treating the camera as the 3 different models didn't work. I tried both normal and ptp modes for "--get-file", "--list-files", and "--capture-image". Nothing worked. Let me know if you want the debug output for "--list-files" or "--capture-image" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Stephen H. Westin (swestin) Date: 2004-12-08 10:07 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=682763 OK, it looks like we misclassified this camera. We thought it might act like an EOS D30 or D60, so that's the way we treat it. Unfortunately, that means we use a different initialization sequence. I would like you to try three tests, forcing gphoto2 to treat your camera as various different models. First, gphoto2 --debug --usbid 0x04A9:0x3048=0x04A9:0x3070 --get-file 25 to pretend it's a G1. Then gphoto2 --debug --usbid 0x04A9:0x3055=0x04A9:0x3070 --get-file 25 to pretend it's a G2. Finally, gphoto2 --debug --usbid 0x04A9:0x306E=0x04A9:0x3070 --get-file 25 to pretend it's a G3. Upload the resulting log files here, and let us know how it works in various modes. In particular, if listing and downloiading files works, try the "--capture image" option to see if image capture works; that's a tricky operation. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Brian Bealer (bsb23) Date: 2004-06-15 11:15 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=902893 I have tried as suggested, to switch off, then on again the camera without success, receiving the same error. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Stephen H. Westin (swestin) Date: 2004-05-29 19:45 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=682763 Hmm. It looks like this is really a problem communication with the camera when it is already awake. I kinda doubt that you can do anything with the camera in this state. I suspect that, for the moment, you can switch the camera off, then back on, and the camera will be in non-ready mode and things should work. The scary bit is that the response from this camera doesn't seem to match that from any Canon camera so far. I'll look into it further. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Hubert Figuiere (hfiguiere) Date: 2004-05-28 16:06 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=27487 "canon" camlib problem. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=108874&aid=962424&group_id=8874 |
