Category: camera support Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Tom Kaitchuck (tkaitchuck) Assigned to: Hubert Figuiere (hfiguiere) Summary: Cameras that work Initial Comment: I would like to report that the Panasonic DMC-LZ3 works out of the box with the USB Mass Storage driver. And I strongly suspect that the DMC-LZ4 and DMC-LZ5 will as well, as they share a manual and the software on the camera seems to be identical. It would be good if someone could add these cameras to the list. However in the future to make this process easier, maybe you should consider adding a wiki page to your website so that users can add their own cameras and comments on how to set them up. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Marcus Meissner (marcusmeissner) Date: 2006-08-10 06:28 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=48092 what is the "gphoto2 --auto-detect" output? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Tom Kaitchuck (tkaitchuck) Date: 2006-08-10 05:13 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=710130 It works when mounted but is not detected when unmounted. I assume that is because you don't have the IDs which usbview reports as: Vendor Id: 04da Product Id: 2372 It does not work in PTP/PictBridge mode (I didn't expect that it should) It will be identified by the system but gphoto does not see it when I do autodetect. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Tom Kaitchuck (tkaitchuck) Date: 2006-08-10 05:13 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=710130 It works when mounted but is not detected when unmounted. Does the above camera work in PTP/PictBridge mode too? and usually we need to add their USB ids to our sourcecode too. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=358874&aid=1537159&group_id=8874 |
