If yes, I could help with testing ;) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Jacek Olszewski (jolsz) Date: 2004-06-26 14:49 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=241580 It doesn't work either with Polaroid PDC 2300Z - I've tried with both serial and usb ports ; On serial port I've got "Transmission of packet timed out". I could help with providing traces of what the driver provided with the camera does. Just let mi know hoh to to this ;) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Jacek Olszewski (jolsz) Date: 2004-06-26 13:41 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=241580 It doesn't workes for me with the soundvision driver; I've already tried it out; Anyway: I found something like this on the web, perheps it helps : "The pictures from Aug 31, 2001, and after are from a Polaroid PDC 2300Z. This camera was manufactured by Premier Image Technology Corp. (Pretec) of Taiwan and is also sold as the Premier DC2000 and the Vivitar ViviCam 3655. It has 2.3 megapixels and a 2X analog zoom. It also has a 2X digital zoom, but I can blow up pictures on my PC just as well. I got the camera for a little over $200 from http://ubid.com . I set that as my limit because I didn't want to have a camera that was so expensive that I would worry about it. I suspect that all digital cameras are about the same. " The source is: http://williambader.com/camera/camera.html I'll try it out and tell U abaut the results ... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Hubert Figuiere (hfiguiere) Date: 2004-06-22 09:13 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=27487 you may want to try with the "soundvision" driver that already support Pretec DC-530. Just a guess, but worth trying. You can check by adding "--usbid 0x784:0x2000=0x784:0x530" to gphoto2 command line. If that works, then it is a "soundvision" OEM. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Hubert Figuiere (hfiguiere) Date: 2004-06-22 08:35 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=27487 It does not look like a known camera. I think that one should start to provide traces of what the driver provided with the camera do to start either indentifying the protocol or reverse engineer it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Jacek Olszewski (jolsz) Date: 2004-05-27 21:14 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=241580 yeah sure ;) here is dmesg output: usb 2-1: new full speed USB device using address 4 usb 2-1: new device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0 usb 2-1: default language 0x0409 usb 2-1: Product: DC2000 usb 2-1: Manufacturer: PRETEC usb 2-1: hotplug usb 2-1: adding 2-1:1.0 (config #1, interface 0) usb 2-1:1.0: hotplug and here is what is in /proc/bus/usb/devices: T: Bus=02 Lev=01 Prnt=01 Port=00 Cnt=01 Dev#= 4 Spd=12 MxCh= 0 D: Ver= 1.10 Cls=ff(vend.) We need at least some clue about this camera, like the output of lsusb or the content of /proc/bus/usb/devices That would only allow to guess about the possible OEM origin. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=358874&aid=956251&group_id=8874 |
