Category: gphoto2 Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Abigail Stiers (abby8) Assigned to: Marcus Meissner (marcusmeissner) Summary: canon g9 mac osx 10.5.8 Initial Comment: Using the command "gphoto2 --capture-image" or "gphoto2 --debug --debug-logfile=my-logfile.txt --capture-image" the photo is taken and nothing else is printed to the command window. When I eventually turn the camera off, I get the error, ERROR: Could not capture image. *** Error (-10: 'Timeout reading from or writing to the port') *** When I use "gphoto2 --capture-image and download" the lens pops out and a photo is taken (I think) but nothing happens in the terminal and no images are downloaded. When I use "gphoto2 --capture-tethered" it prints "Waiting for events from camera. Press Ctrl-C to abort." After waiting over 30 minutes, nothing happens. I was able to successfully follow all steps to get information about the camera and download images following instructions from the online manual section 2.2. Using the gphoto2 command line interface (CLI). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Abigail Stiers (abby8) Date: 2010-08-07 00:17 Message: Using another Mac 10.5.4 computer the same problem occurs. Also happens with a nikon coolpix camera. Both macs have ftdi serial drivers installed. I have attached the new logfile from the second mac. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Marcus Meissner (marcusmeissner) Date: 2010-08-01 10:34 Message: could you attach the logfile please? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=108874&aid=3034750&group_id=8874 |
