Users strongly need some way to have tic labels
for some or all axes read from the datafile, instead of
having
to specify them before the 'plot' command, in a
long-form
'set xtics ('label1' <pos1>, 'label2' <pos2>, [...])'
statement
that may have to be automatically generated by
utitilities
outside gnuplot.
