#1430 rtics rangelimited has no effect

Hi,
It seems rtics rangelimited has no effect on my figures (gnuplot 4.6.5, windows 7). The problem occurs if the rrange is automatic or manual. As an example

set polar
set grid polar
set rtics rangelimited
plot t

The last rtic (8) and its grid circle shouldn't be there

That is correct. "rangelimit" has no effect on the r axis.

Can you provide an example (hand-sketched is fine) of what sort of plot you are trying to produce? Are you trying to achieve a toroidal grid?

Well, I was just looking for a workaround for #1290 (tic outside the border in some cases)
