Scott, Thanks. Please let me know how your test installation with apache2 goes. Part of the problem is that some modules, such as PHP, will only build for apache2 as a DSO. DSO's do not seem to work on Mac X, but the reason is not clear to me yet. Another problem we have is that we get messages like this in the apache error log (apache 1.3.31 with static modperl), and apache fails to start: dyld: /usr/local/http/bin/httpd multiple definitions of symbol _ApacheRequest___parse /usr/local/perl/5.80/Library/darwin/auto/Apache/Request/Request.bundle definition of _ApacheRequest___parse /usr/local/perl/5.80/Library/darwin/auto/Apache/Cookie/Cookie.bundle definition of _ApacheRequest___parse I don't know an easy way around this. Have you seen this before? Unfortunately I just haven't had a lot of time to dedicate to this. I'm hoping someone can point out a fix or what I'm doing wrong.
