The code seems good. Do you have the hsql-1.7.3.jar file in yours=20
classpath too?

If it still doesn't work, try to set yours logger level to CONFIG and=20
send me the output. You can change the logger level if you edit the=20
following file:

   <path to yours jdk installation>/jre/lib/logging.properties

Search and modify the following lines:

   .level =3D CONFIG

   java.util.logging.ConsoleHandler.level =3D CONFIG
