People visiting the geotools wiki pages (http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOTOOLS/Home), within the last week, probably noticed the new navigation bar along the top of all geotools pages. The directory structure view of the wiki (http://docs.codehaus.org/pages/listpages-dirview.action?key=GEOTOOLS) has now been updated to reflect the organization of the navigation bar. Also, the How-to page has been removed. If you are looking for a wiki page that was linked from the how-to, it is probably now a Tutorial, Snippet (short code examples), Article or part of the Developers Guide. Most content for new users of geotools can be found under the "Use" page on the navigation bar. Remember that geotools developer do not always have time to write documentation. If you find yourself working with part of the codebase that is not well documented (or its documentation is out of date) please take the time to contribute a short code snippet on the Snippets page or, if you are really ambitious, a tutorial on the Tutorials page. Information about editing the geotools wiki can be found at: http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOTOOLS/Confluence http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOTOOLS/Wiki+Documentation Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the wiki documentation so far.
