Quoting your words one could say that Postgrid is a project that runs outside the GeoTools SVN and which is managed by what seems to be a subset of the geotools developers, hence it is not receiving enough feedback from the remaining geotools developers. Therefore we cannot trust it like we would trust JTS, JAI and ImageIO. Simone.
