Adrian may correct me as well ( but I think he has read the wiki page 
with the instructions?), my impression was the (c) history was 
interesting information for a header, and the signed contributor 
agreement just lets us stick (C) OSGEO on the top.

I will do the @author tags thing for module "api", lets swap email on 
the geotools-devel list so we don't duplicate work.
