The DataStore subclasses use this data for conformence testing.  So 
although this is test code I needed a way to allow the datastore 
implementaitons to depend on it.
That said we have already floated the idea of separating out some of the 
unit tests associated with main into separate modules; this could be 
another reason to do so.

Something like a module/conformance that the datastore implementations 
could depend on for testing purposes but would not be needed.
