-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello all. I'm finally getting around to revamping the documentation for embedding g1 into other sites/applications(long overdue imo), particularly those that gallery does not know about. I've finished integrating gallery v1.4.3-pl2 into txraves.org and am trying to narrow the steps down to as few as possible. a few questions: what is the difference between the two variables $GALLERY_EMBEDDED_INSIDE and $GALLERY_EMBEDDED_INSIDE_TYPE? I've found only 2 references to $gallery->app->embedded_inside_type: once in config.php where it is initially set and also in init.php where it checks for GeekLog. Is the GeekLog check the only purpose it serves at this time and does it exist in v2? In previous integrations, I hardcoded $GALLERY_EMBEDDED_INSIDE='mecca' at the top of init.php but would now rather it be set in config.php like: $gallery->app->embedded_inside_type = "mecca"; which would then require: if ( strlen($gallery->app->embedded_inside_type) > 0 ) { ~ $GALLERY_EMBEDDED_INSIDE = $gallery->app->embedded_inside_type; ~ $GALLERY_EMBEDDED_INSIDE_TYPE = $gallery->app->embedded_inside_type; } which would allow the embed detections in index.php to work as usual unless the user set the Embed Gallery option in the setup script to something other than "Standalone Gallery" or manually set this value in config.php as I am now doing. questions: what is the viability of the addition of the 4 lines of code above? ie. Whats the life expectancy of g1 and if its significant, would anyone find value in adding this snippet in order to streamline the embedding process further? And, is this handled the same in g2 or completely different? and last but not least, since embed detections occur in index.php it would seem that loading gallery/albums.php directly would bypass that and display as standalone(except for GeekLog which is checked in init.php).
