In Version 2.1.3 Keypad doesn't work in papermode
galculator is a scientific calculator in algebraic mode and RPN

Hi,
I use galculator v. 2.1.3 shipped with Lubuntu 14.04.
In papermode the keys of the keypad are unusable. If keypad is activated, all the number-keys (also regular number-keys of the keyboard) are inactive.
So at the moment, papermode is to be used with deactivated keyblock only by using the normal number key (above the letter keys).
Hi,
After having another look at this, I can reproduce this somehow related on an Ubuntu Gnome 14.04 installation. After logging into gnome, the keypad is not working in paper mode, though activated. However, after de-/activating the keypad twice, everything works fine.
I've observed similar misfunction with Caps Lock on Ubuntu (Gnome) 14.04. before. Could your and my problem be related somehow?
best, simon
Hi,
I don't know, if these two problems are somehow related. I'm a user only, no developer.
I can't try is at Gnome, on my old netbook an pc runs only lean software, in this case lubuntu-14.04-64-bit with openbox display-manager.
So I tried a little more:
Problem is to be seen only in paper mode.
Keypad deactivated, everything works fine but the number-keys of the keypad. "/*-+"-keys of the keypad work.
Keypad deactivated plus Caps Lock activated does the same, Caps Lock is just ignored.
Activating Keypad blocks every keyboard input to galculator, independend of shift or caps lock. Btw. copy & past to papermode, ENTER and courser-keys work fine. A little bit strange. I have no idea.
I hope this can help you a little bit.
Greetings, thomas

Could you please post the last three lines of the output of "galculator -v"?
Thanks, simon
Here it is:
Compiled against GTK version 3.10.7
Linked against GTK version 3.10.8

Does number input work in other line entries, e.g. in "Formula entry mode" (either basic or scientific mode and then Calculator -> Notation Modes -> Formula entry) or on the preferences pages "Constants" or "Functions"?
btw, don't try to access the preferences from paper mode, which would crash galculator. This has been fixed in SVN recently.
thanks, simon
Hi,
all the same behavior as described for paper mode.
