Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Ingo von Borstel (planetmaker) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: crash when confirming invalid filename with enter Initial Comment: Tested in v0.3.13 [r3094] on MacOSX 10.6.2: 1) make sure to have a savegame called test2 2) load test2 3) open the file menu, choose 'save game' 4) enter an invalid filename or chose an existing file and create an invalid filename from it. 5) press enter & see crash (bus error reported on console) the crash does not happen, if I use the mouse in order to confirm the file name or when I confirm a valid filename using return. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Ingo von Borstel (planetmaker) Date: 2010-01-26 07:34 Message: ... I'm perplexed. You have my pity Ondrej Riha; time to re-consider my priorities, you might consider to re-visit your arrogant and ignorant attitude. Do with this report what you like, probably is OS-X only, Geoff couldn't reproduce it on windows either (though I don't know whether he used enter to confirm the filename). I spent well over an hour, trying to pinpoint and simplify the steps to a reproducable bug in a game I kinda newly downloaded. Thanks for showing me that there are better time usages. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Ondrej Riha (ondrejr) Date: 2010-01-26 02:35 Message: But I have svn version. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Ondrej Riha (ondrejr) Date: 2010-01-26 02:33 Message: Ingo Borstel(no elite, sorry), I cannot replicate this problem on my linux. Probably there is problem in some old library(boost?, I have 1.40) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=544942&aid=2939814&group_id=75752 |
