FreeMind is a very good application that I and many of my colleagues use in our work on eBusiness standards. There are two features that is suggest would be useful.
- Enable creating tasks from nodes. One problem I find is that when brainstorm session identify tasks it can be difficult to track those tasks directly. After reviewing MS OneNote I feel that a feature that would make it possible to mark a node as a task which would either list it in a task list. Even better if that task can be created in an external organizer. Adding this feature would support the workflow of starting with Brainstorming -> organize ideas -> create actions.
- Shortcuts for some of the icons would make them more easy to use. Preferably the user should be able to define what icon is connected to what
