Thanks for creating and maintaining Freemind and looking at this ticket.
I work with a MacBook Pro on OS X - 10.8.3.
The freemind version I use is 0.9.0.
I have been using freemind for a number of years now, and I have some old mindmaps created with 0.8.1. that I would like to re-open. However, if I try that, I get the attached warning message. If I continue by clicking "yes", a "mindmap" opens with only the center node in which I read the following message: "Error while parsing file:freemind.main.XMLParseException: XML Parse Exception during parsing of a map element at line 1: Expected: =". I can no longer revert to the old presentation of the mindmap.
Am I doing something wrong?
And if not, would there be a way
(a) to open mindmaps made in older versions of freemind?
(b) to avoid the destruction of old mindmaps as described above?
Thanks
Hi,
take a newer version from FreeMind (V1.0.0 RC3), which contains a workaround for this java bug.

Unfortunately it happened to me as well. I was getting comfortable with the software, but I feel I've lost my time. You had a great project, I was using the versión 1.0.0. I just wanted to let you know that.
