When cloning a branch only the children underneath that branch behave like clones. The top node seems to be just a copy with own title, own notes, own attributes.
This, however makes the concept more clumsy than necessary. I would like cloned branches to behave as full clones, otherwise I always need an extra layer just because of cloning, even if it doesn't fit the semantics.
The below schema is not possible via cloning mouse and rat, since I would have to add another level.
mammals
- (clone) mouse
- (clone) rat
animals
- spider
- (clone) mouse
- (clone) rat
Hi,
this was an explicit wish from the users, that the top level node doesn't clone. For me, both is possible, but I need more feedback of users, which functionality is the right one.
Br, Chris
In the current git-version, you are asked on creating a clone whether or not it should be fully cloned or children-only.
excellent, that's exactly what I need.
