Galen, I think you should not instantiate an FGInterface object. Instead you should derive your own class from it and define the function "update" appropriately in your derived class. See class FGMagicCarpet or FGBalloonSim for examples. Other people, Can we make FGInterface::update pure virtual so that this sort of mistake is caught at compile time?
