The Citation X doesn't have any Autothrottle, just as Syd said, the pilot has to set the throttle to change Climb/Descent rate. That means to hold a flightlevel the pilot has to set the throttle to climbrate = zero. That's typical for such small aircrafts like the Ciation X. Even some commuters like the DO328 behaves like that. Btw. I asked a professional pilot before I came up with here. Bigger airliners does have Autothrottle, but in FLC-Mode the Autothrottle is used to hold the altitude, Pitch for speed. |
