Out of curiosity (for the long term):
Does anyone use the top or bottom side panels?
No, I only used left or right panels. bottom panel could be useful, if more place is needed (horizontal); for example findall with the current line.
I do not use either. How about the bottom panel can change to a tab if you use the tabbed prompt idea? Just throwing it out there.
