Hi! Recently once again I was looking for a way to import my thoughts done in reST into PowerPoint (I have to use PowerPoint - it's not that I want it...). This time I was lucky to find an article_ on Powerpoint being able to import plain text files! .. _article: http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00246.htm From this it was just about an hour to `rst2outline.py` :-) . It creates a tabbed outline which can be imported into Powerpoint - even into an existing presentation! This way you can continue thinking in reST and then port your thoughts to PowerPoint. Of course this doesn't compensate for all the shortcomings of PowerPoint such as no support for navigation or multi-level titles but it's better than nothing. I put the tool to the sandbox_. It consists only of the script and there is a `setup.py` included. .. _sandbox: http://docutils.sourceforge.net/sandbox/rst2outline/ Grüße Stefan |
