I can't imagine how the operating system interacts with the page number generation. The thread is here: http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=33783 I created a document in OpenOffice 3.2 on Win XP with a footer and the page number fields and this is the relevant content in the styles.xml:: <style:footer> <text:p text:style-name="Footer"> Page <text:page-number text:select-page="current">1</text:page-number> of <text:page-count>1</text:page-count></text:p> </style:footer> Which is weird, because the actual current page and total page numbers are right there in the XML (1 and 1 respectively). I would expect some sort of placeholder that is filled in by OpenOffice when the document is opened? |
