That helps and may save several turn-arounds between us. I tried to duplicate what you did as closely as I could. I created a virtual environment. I installed docutils with bin/easy_install (in that virtual environment), which installed Docutils 0.7 (same as you). I generated a .odt file from the same reST content you used with the same command line option (--custom-odt-footer="Page %p% of %P%"). When I look at the generated .odt file in oowriter, at the bottom of the page, I see:: Page 1 of 1 Wait, I'll try printing it. ... Print preview looks OK. ... I'll export to PDF. ... That looks OK. I'm using OpenOffice 3.2 on Ubuntu GNU/Linux (Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS). You're on Ubuntu, too, but an earlier version. Possibly we're using different versions of OpenOffice. Could that make a difference? Perhaps you could email me both the reST file (test.rst) and the .odt file that you generated (test.odt). I can unpack the .odt file and see if it contains what I'd expect. I can also look at it in (my version of) oowriter. - Dave -- Dave Kuhlman http://www.rexx.com/~dkuhlman |
